My true joy and passion in life is supporting others, and I see it as an honor to be included in someone else’s journey. I believe that growth, self-awareness, and self-improvement stem from vulnerability and connection. The therapeutic relationship is a very vulnerable one and I make it my top priority to ensure that each client feels safe, comfortable, and heard. Our work together will be free of judgement and criticism. Discomfort is a vital part of growth; therefore, you will likely feel some level of it during our work together, however, I will support you and walk you through each step towards your wellness goals.
I have been in practice since 2010 utilizing the techniques provided by cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and the strengths-based approach. I will use these modalities to help you manage and improve low mood and anxiety, cope with stress and anger in an effective way, and gain insight into yourself. Grief and loss are a part of everyone’s story, on a varied level, and I will provide a supportive and caring place for you to work through whatever difficult load you are carrying with you. Learning how to have productive and healthy communication with others, setting clear boundaries with yourself and those around you, and managing your thought life are factors we will address to help you move forward and grow.
I was born and raised in Maryland and currently live in the rural countryside of Baltimore County with my husband, three kids, and a whole flock of chickens. I enjoy hiking, gardening, and spending time with family.
I recognize reaching out and taking the next steps to begin therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating. I look forward to discussing any concerns you may have and, in a comfortable pace that feels right to you, forming a supportive and collaborative relationship.
